With over 10 years of experience in the local residential real estate market working with buyers, sellers, investors, and personal transactions, Dan has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that has been an asset to his many clients over the years. As Founder and Principal Broker of Foster Spahr Real Estate, Dan’s commitment and focus are reflected in every aspect of our business.
Focus
In addition to driving the overall vision for our company, Dan focuses on serving the DC metro area which has been a major influence in his life, including Downtown Silver Spring, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, and Northwest DC. Dan works directly with homeowners, banks and asset managers, and investors.
Background
Dan got a taste of the Real Estate industry at a very early age. Working with his father, a successful agent in his own right, Dan spent hours helping put together mailers and hanging around the office. Dan would also accompany his father on trips throughout his farm area, meeting and talking with clients, and learning early on the importance of customer service. One of his fondest memories is helping his father deliver small American flags to every house in his farm area early (very early) in the morning every 4th of July. This type of commitment and drive has stuck with Dan throughout the years.
And Dan does not just know the process by helping others, but also from engaging in it himself. From purchasing his first rental property when he was 23, to investments throughout Maryland and Virginia, Dan has always been active in buying, selling, and investing in real estate. Dan is a licensed broker in Maryland and Washington DC.
A Little Extra
Dan has lived in the Washington DC area for over 30 years and currently resides in the Woodside area of Dowtown Silver Spring with his wife Stephany and their 2 children. Dan holds a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland and currently serves as the President of the Board for the Cameron Hill Homeowners Association. When not engaged in real estate, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, playing sports, and kicking back with friends.
